Mushroom

The mushroom from my door has disappeared!! Here, I've working hard, nose to the grindstone, endless sleepless nights and my entertainment- the mushroom has disappeared!!
Well I love mushrooms - to eat. But this was different. It was growing on my door & it kept me fascinated by the changes in it. It was so light in colour in the beginnig then it darkened to a muddy brown.It was really tiny, I thought i'd watch it grow.To my dissapointment it didn't get any larger as the months went by.
But wait, it's size would change everyday.Every time it rained the mushroom would puff up. If the weather was dry it would shrivel. In the beginning I thought I was imagining it- well I told you I watched it for months! but no.. it was a pattern , every rain.. slightly larger mushroom. Two days without rain.. mushroom half it's size.
Well, since I couldn't part with it.. I think India organised a parting! The mushroom has been removed.

HMM! Titania's abstracts tend to end up being either animals or birds. You can see that in this sketch. Told you she was animal crazy!

The Pink Bandhini

I have a pink bandhini saree. It's a bright pink with an orange border. I love it! Last Diwali Mrs. Havisham borrowed it to wear.She looked really pretty in it.
As on most Diwali days, the relatives got together at our place for a card playing session.Aunt Claudia had also come over- she is Mrs. Havisham's oldest sister. She has a great sense of humour. She's extremely intelligent & opinionated.( and boy can she talk!!)And now I think she is losing it completely..
Claudia took an instant dislike to the saree. ( I think she was in a mood most foul.Something about how people never call her during her time slot to receive phone calls).She tore it to bits, verbally!
I thought, I'd wear the same saree on another occasion recently. We were expecting Claudia, so Mrs. Havisham said " Are you sure you want to wear it?"
I met them later at the venue, in my pink bandhini. Aunt C, came in with MR. & Mrs. H.I didn't know whether to laugh or be shocked when she said " Titania, what a lovely saree !"
